Profile

Crinetics is seeking a highly motivated Contracts and Procurement Sr. Manager to join our growing and dynamic team. Under general supervision from the Chief Financial Officer and guidance from the consulting

counsel,

this position is the central point of contact for all contractual agreements dealing with the acquisition of equipment or services for the company. The incumbent is also responsible for managing the activities of purchasing, receiving, and products to meet the needs of the company. The right candidate will thrive in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

Lead contract negotiation in conjunction with internal stakeholders and senior management

Maintain contract filing and tracking system to manage contract expiration dates and other timeline driven information, and work closely with Finance department to ensure that agreements are consistent with invoices received

Manage laboratory and office equipment supply purchasing

Manage purchasing through the handling of orders and receiving, while maintaining a strong relationship with employees and vendors

Design, launch and manage standardized purchasing workflows and ordering systems, in conjunction with Accounts Payable staff

Process purchase orders and contracts in accordance with established policies

Maintain online and paper files of POs, contracts, and other documents, as deemed necessary

Assist with organization and coordination of due diligence activities, preparation of closing documents and maintenance of closing contract files

Review and edit standard contracts and negotiate within guidelines in conjunction with, or final review for, general counsel

Act as point of contact for internal customers as to legal requests, and monitor contract flow and filing

Assist internal customers in understanding contracting processes and requirements, and in preparing contract request forms

Prepare and handle correspondence related to contracts

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

BS degree in Business, or related field and 5 years’ experience with Contracts and Procurement, Project Management or equivalent experience. Experience in life sciences is highly desirable

Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, and possess sound judgment to evaluate proper courses of action

Excellent analytical skills to interpret and evaluate contractual language

Strong organizational skills

Excellent interpersonal skills to manage internal and external relationships

Demonstrated ability to work productively with senior management and with individuals at all levels

Strong service orientation, organization and prioritization skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks

Ability to obtain Certification as Notary Public within first 12 months of employment
