About this Opportunity:

Regency Centers is seeking a

Director, IT Operations and Systems

to join our corporate office located in Jacksonville, Florida.

This role will manage day-to-day IT related operations company-wide, the implementation of new systems and initiatives, and will oversee the Technology Services (incident and problem management), Networking & Infrastructure, and Financial Systems & Reporting Applications functions.

This position will provide leadership and support for delivering improvements and solutions to our business by understanding the internal business needs generated from managing a portfolio of commercial real estate assets and operating a public company, nurturing the development of justification for improvements, and monitoring the progress of projects to see improvements through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Service Operations

Support IT Management decision-making and report relevant capacity/availability within the end user computing, network, and infrastructure environments.

Monitor metrics to manage the escalation of technology incidents through to resolution including root cause determination, lessons learned, and mitigation

Oversee, review, and approve IT purchase requests for new equipment and software, ensuring purchasing is within established budget.

Develop and deliver Service Desk, Network & Security, and Cloud Services strategies for presentation to company stakeholders including IT Management and various decision-making committees.

Serve as primary point of contact for outside vendors related to specific applications and computing assets.

Financial Systems & Reporting

Oversee company financial systems and applications, including systems utilized by the Finance and Accounting departments to record all transactions that are covered by financial audits (e.g. Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Global Software Inc. Spreadsheet Server, Nexus, and VersaPay ARC.)

Incorporate industry best practices, conduct internal/external benchmarking, and enforce standards, key measures, and ethics in Regency’s use of financial systems and reporting.

Participate in the review of systems prospectus, systems/report delivery specs, user procedure documents, and training documents.

Troubleshoot user stories within Accounting standard procedures and GAAP.

“People Using Technology” Improvement Leader

Working with all departments across Regency Centers, assess requirements for application performance and information ability. Develop solutions using existing systems or the acquisition/development of new applications.

Produce financial system and application lifecycle deliverables including, but not limited to: project charters, business requirements documents, project management plans (e.g. budget, scope, schedules), closeout signoffs, and postmortem exercises.

Foster innovative solutions to issues through trying and testing new concepts that relate to Regency’s business operating environment.

Team Development & Communications

Maintain a team culture and provide training, development, mentorship, and coaching to Managers, Leads, Technologists, and Analysts.

Directly coach the Technology Services team and Business Systems team in the development of procedures, skills, and tools for a responsive support function that best suits their respective internal customers.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution

Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience

Working knowledge of the corporate computing environment including networking, storage, end user computing, and application development

Working knowledge and understanding of operational aspects of commercial real estate

Extensive functional knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system

Advanced knowledge of visual aid applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio, and proficiency with other Microsoft Office software products (Excel, Word, Outlook), email, and Internet research

Preferred:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Certified Scrum Master and/or Certified Product Owner certification

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Six Sigma discipline experience

Personal Characteristics:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak publicly (e.g. leading presentations and training sessions), and the ability to author business processes, policies, and procedures in an effective and clear manner

Ability to work with diverse stakeholders with strengths in consultation and negotiation

Self-motivated and possessing the flexibility, detail orientation, and critical/strategic thinking skills needed to address a number of simultaneous projects and adapt quickly to change

Strong leadership capability with a proven background in cross-functional management
