University Commercial Services Plymouth Ltd's (UCSPL) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of University of Plymouth. UCSPL’s vision is to enrich the experience of the students, staff and wider community. We aim to create a financially sustainable and professional service which currently includes Early Years Education and Care, Retail Catering, Hospitality and Events. UCSP Ltd are looking to recruit an individual to an Enhanced Unit Lead role based on the main University of Plymouth campus, situated in the Reservoir Cafe. The Reservoir Café is our exclusively vegetarian and vegan café that overlooks the restored Drakes Reservoir and Gardens. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join the company and take on the running of one of our most unique units on campus. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the unit as well as line management responsibility of the catering assistant and chef within it. With experience of working in a catering or retail environment, you will drive sales in line with the business plan and lead the unit in a calm and positive way whilst providing exceptional customer service. You would be employed by University Commercial Services Plymouth Ltd and would therefore be subject to their terms and conditions of employment. You will have experience of working in a customer service environment, and have routine administration and financial understanding. A customer-focussed mind-set is essential and a drive to deliver on and exceed students, staff and visitor’s expectations. A flexible approach to hours and work is essential, as is adaptability and the ability, whilst maintaining high standards and all times.
