Reporting to the Supply Chain Optimization and Analytics Manager, this role will actively be involved in supply chain design, modeling, supply and demand analysis and “what if”/scenario planning. The ideal candidate has very strong technical skills and experience using multiple systems and has the ability to translate between business requirements and analysis needs. In addition, it is key that the candidate can effectively articulate findings across various levels of the organization. The Protein Group Supply Chain team utilizes multiple advanced tools including SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Logility, Supply Chain Guru, Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI etc. This role will work closely with the various Channels and Supply Chains within the Protein Group as well as our process and technology implementation teams. Principal Accountabilities 40% NETWORK DESIGN & OPTIMIZATION
• Builds models for network design and optimization work. Includes providing direction with input from Supply Chain Leaders on moderately complex modeling scenarios and insuring appropriate and correct data is provided for effective optimization work. • Evaluates the network design and optimization work, determine and outline impacts to the business. • Conduct the report out of the outcome and recommendations of network design and optimization work back to the business. • Contributes to the development of the implementation plan for approved network design and optimization projects. • Determines metrics and track the success of implemented projects. • Executes on measures to improve on customer reliability, as well as action plans to improve on customer service. 25% SUPPLY CHAIN STRATEGY
• Utilizing a thorough understanding of supply chain practices and procedures, reports on processes and ensures best practices are shared between locations as well as utilization of Cargill/s Supply Chain Planning Playbooks, creation of process workflow diagrams and RASCI schemes, and communicating best practices through trainings, workshops and documentation.
15% CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Implements moderately complex projects and process improvements in the supply chain organization to drive continuous improvement to current excellence standards across the organization. • Utilizing a comprehensive understanding of supply chain practices and procedures, develops a strong understanding of customer needs through building and maintaining internal and external relationships to provide optimal service to Cargill’s customers and help the business meet strategic and financial goals. Where appropriate, build relationships with external parties such as consultants. • Analyzes and creates moderately complex demand, production, and sales reports to drive continuous improvement. Reports findings to senior team member or manager. • Provides comprehensive supply chain knowledge and experienced expertise to integrate multiple areas in the Cargill supply chain such as customer service, supply chain planning, strategic sourcing/procurement, plant operations, and transportation & logistics (i.e. order, plan, source, make and deliver). 15% SYSTEMS/DATA MANAGEMENT, REPORTING AND ANALYSIS
• Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices and procedures to navigate through data and technology challenges, upgrades and changes. • Creates score card and related KPIs. Minimum Required Qualifications .','!*!Minimum Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree Completed with focus in IT, Finance, Operations, Business, Supply Chain Management or similar. • 2 years’ experience in business environment. • Less than 10% travel to different plants. Preferred Qualifications • Master’s Degree. • At least 1 years’ experience in Supply Chain Planning or analytical experience? • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (Business Intelligence, Tableau, Power BI, etc). • Advanced proficiency in standard business applications (e.g. MS Office Suite). • Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail. • Ability to multitask, prioritize and act with a sense of urgency. • Ability to identify and communicate information required to make sound business decisions across many functions.
