You will be responsible for overall Loon Launch Operations. This role will include the management of the launch team, recovery team, ground station operations, test management, department strategy, and technical integration for all Loon operations

You will create amazing experiences through the identification, assessment, and execution of new and ongoing process improvement and re-engineering opportunities in terms of internal communications, advocating across the organization, people and career development, and mentoring/coaching both individual contributors and people managers

You will develop, articulate, and socialize mid- and long-term strategy for Loon Operations and manage all recover and logistics of Loon balloons. Ideally you will also incorporate resilience planning and business continuity

Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS Degree or equivalent practical experience

5 years of people management experience

Experience leading a regional and distributed team

Preferred Qualifications

MBA/Master’s Degree

Experience with leading and implementation of large transformational initiatives. Strong internal client-facing skills with flexible communication style

Ability to lead with insights and craft a vision for the function: influence, team, operations, partnering and results

Demonstrated ability to develop and continuously refine strategy and roadmap for operational delivery

Consistent track record of managing complex cross-functional projects and operations and getting things done effectively and efficiently

Deep understanding and affinity to technology
