Business Overview:

The Fund Dealing Services team is based in King of Prussia, PA as a part of BNP Paribas Financial Services, LLC. The team offers a range of services to Fund of Hedge Funds managers such as trade execution, trade confirmation, wire execution, cash settlement, receivable monitoring and position reconciliation.


Trade Processing

Book transactions and prepare hedge fund subscriptions, redemptions, transfers and proxy instructions using Adobe Acrobat– All Trades must be processed same day

Ensure transaction documents are properly completed per the client specific data sheets and questionnaires

Understand the terms of the Offering Memorandums, subscription and redemption documents

Prioritize workload in order to accommodate heavy month-end processing

Book and process client instructed cash movements

Follow-up with administrators or investment managers to ensure trade execution documents have been accepted

Prepare original trade documents and send them using Fedex

Answer all incoming requests for an assigned letter range – All requests must be answered within 48 hours

Liaise with internal legal and compliance teams to solve Anti Money Laundering and tax related issues

Corporate Actions and Trade Confirmations

Read each corporate action and determine the appropriate course of action

Ensure voluntary corporate actions have been completed and returned to the fund administrator prior to the deadline.

Book the appropriate fund mandated corporate actions in order to reconcile a position

Actively monitor the confirmation queue and chase outstanding contract notes

Investigate any discrepancies between the instructed trades and the contract notes

Client Service

Maintain operational relationships directly with internal and external clients

Answer all incoming client requests within 24 hours

Provide clients with information regarding proxies and voluntary corporate actions

Process all trades and cash movements in accordance with internal procedures

Cash Management:

Analyse all cash movements received on a daily basis and settle redemptions and distributions trades

Review cash items that remain unsettled and contact administrators for adequate back-up in relation to the cash received

Classify each trade that is partially settled

Actively monitor the cash receivable queue and chase redemption proceeds

Properly identify all treasury movements

Prepare the cash receivable reports, outlining outstanding cash proceeds

Actively follow-up on all outstanding proceeds due to audit, liquidation, litigation, fraud and suspension, and document the cash receivable queue

Document Management:

Analyse and categorize emails and documents received daily from Fund Administrators, Fund Managers, and other counterparties

Forward or make documents available to different teams within the bank, according to clearly defined rules

Additional Responsibilities

Creation of procedure and user guides, as well as ad-hoc projects

Have an understanding of the risk linked to the business activity and suggest improvements to existing processes and practices

Contribute to the continuous improvement of relationships with other BNP Paribas departments and locations

Minimum Required Qualifications

BSBA in Finance, Accounting or related field

1 Year of experience within financial markets

2 years of experience working within Global Trading Markets & Hedge Fund Structures

Ability to work on US holidays and Shifts ranging between 7 am to 6 pm

Preferred Qualifications:

All applications within the standard MS Office Suite, especially Excel

Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat

Ability to work in a team while being a key contributor

Ability to produce quality output under challenging deadlines

Strong verbal and oral communication skills

Attention to detail

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Time management and prioritization skills

Quick learner with a positive attitude, able to work efficiently under pressure while meeting deadlines
