Director, Offshore Wind Operations','USA00016H','!*!SUMMARY:¬† Responsible for the startup of Crowley‚Äôs operation and maintenance program for offshore wind. This position will set the foundation for which the company will build out the terminal management, marine coordination, vessel operations, and safety training for offshore wind.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:¬† ¬†Manage the offshore wind terminal operation in conjunction with Watco and Crowley Logistics. Coordinate with Crowley Labor and Operations in the management of vessels supporting offshore wind. Develop and manage, with our external systems provider, the marine coordination and turbine monitoring program to support offshore wind. Develop, grow, and manage, in concert with Crowely Operations and HSSE, the offshore wind training program for Crowley. Develop and monitor the processes and procedures for Crowley offshore wind. Maintain relationships with key local, state and federal authorities as it pertains to offshore wind. Assist management with the development and submission of RFPs associated with the terminal management and vessel operations. Assist management in the development of strategies and business plans. Drive the safety culture at the site inclusive of contracted partners and customers. Drive results to meet the established KPI‚Äôs and site financial targets. Collaborate and oversee contractual obligations and activities, working closely with project owners and various customers daily to exceed site operational and performance targets. Be innovative and engaged in all areas of facility operations aligned with the site plan to include creative problem solving with lean thinking. Responsible for leading the site team which includes maintenance mechanics, technicians, and operators. Initiate and support staffing requirements, counseling, coaching, training, and corrective action concerning employees and contracted partners, and career progression and succession planning.¬† Assist with Profit & Loss (P&L) reporting responsibilities, cash management of inventory and managing customer performance guarantees. Partner with cross-functional teams like Sales, Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Finance, HR to meet the deliverables.

EXPERIENCE:¬† 8 years experience preferably in offshore or onshore wind operations focused on safety, training, marine operations, and terminal management. ¬†Experience with heavy equipment required for facility maintenance with a working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements is required.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:¬† Advanced computer skills utilizing word and spreadsheet processing, e-mail programs, facility control and management systems, and computer diagnostic and troubleshooting tools
¬†TECHNICAL SKILLS: Customer focused approach to build long term relationships and to deliver business objectives. Strong functional knowledge in Operations and Maintenance best industry practices, planning, organizing, coordinating, executing, and controlling the wind farm activities, productivity improvements, operational excellence in outage management, trouble shooting, fault/data analytics, and warranty administration.

WORKING CONDITIONS:¬† Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
