Operations Assistant Jobs description
An operations assistant assists in the development, implementation, integration, and support of projects and programs; gathers requirements, reviews proposals, and schedules development and tracking; facilitates coordination between departments in support of business objectives; and independently escalates and directs resolution of issues that impede planned strategic progress.An operations assistant\'s job may also involve working with stakeholders to determine business needs for strategic initiatives as well as identifying improvement opportunities, demonstrating and ensuring a strong customer service commitment within the organization, simplifying and standardizing business processes and procedures solutions, analyzing needs for system enhancements and assisting in the implementation of those enhancements, and reviewing and prioritizing projects and programs on an ongoing basis.
As an operations assistant one may also assess client needs and services and provide information and referral services for customers. Operations assistants assist with administrative duties as well.
An operations assistant will typically have a BA or BS degree in business, engineering, or operations management with significant IT or IS coursework or training. Three to five years of demonstrated experience is generally required for operations assistant jobs. To become an operations assistant, one must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
